BSR/LFB, seriously?!?

Building Safety(?) Regulator, a useless organisation that seems to me as a bunch of useless jobs designed to do nothing with health and safety issues that get reported to them, and I’m not going to start listing all of the issues that they did nothing about, instead I’ll just point out one issue that they must have taken very seriously and acted immediately to inspect the danger.

The issue I’m referring to is a broken glass floor panel in the staircase that has a crack so big that One Hyde Park had covered it (it seems to be their theme) with a wood plank which doesn’t make any structural logic as that plank can bend under weight and it’s also a fire escape route, but the BSR don’t deal with glass floors, nor did they refer me to any other regulator that deals with it, so basically glass floors are not regulated by anyone, including the LFB although it's a fire escape route.

And that brings me to the London Fire Brigade management, and I want to make that distinction clear because I trust the fire fighters to take risks to save lives, but the management are willing to take risks to endanger lives, including the brave fire fighters who will need to deal with consequences of their management’s incompetence and corruption.

When I called in to report the fire safety issues to the LFB I got to speak to someone who seemed to care and he helped me with making the right decision and overcoming any hesitance.

But then when I was referred to a manager, the attitude changed from caring to paper pushing, and it was quite noticeable that the attitude is of someone that doesn’t do his job and I was definitely not impressed when he said that one of his most experienced employees had conducted an inspection and found nothing significant to report.

So I challenged the manager about the fire doors that were getting stuck on the floor for years, and how were they missed during inspections especially as One Hyde Park stated that they had (they never did) fixed 54 out of 809 fire doors in the building after I had complained about them and since the last inspection, and when I was asked for the best contact person in the building, I gave the name of the maintenance manager, knowing very well how that will play out.

And not to my surprise the fire issues were never fixed, even though the LFB manager wrote that they will do an inspection, and that raises the question of what kind of corruption is going on there, was it just that the LFB manager is a lazy git that took the word of the lying maintenance manager as fact, or was there some kind of benefit given to the manager not to do his job as he should?

And I will also mention the system that the LFB uses to avoid doing their work and covering it up from the public is through the FOI request loop hole, because that was how the LFB manager tried to bullshit me, thinking that I would never step again in this building, but I did go back and understood that there was no inspection, and therefore there will be no report to find using the FOI, a very sneaky trick to make everything look good on reports.
